El-Satdat: Sisi must constitute a Supreme Committee to Increase the Egyptian Exports

Anwar El-Sadat, Chairman of the Reform and Development calls for the swift formation of a supreme committee by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. He stresses that the task assigned to this committee should be repairing the bad situation in the Egyptian exports; achieving annual growth in such exports; and providing millions of job opportunities that are lost in favor of the foreign products. Such loss in job opportunities took place after the trade deficit amounted to more than $ 30 billion annually.

El-Sadat also calls on all Egyptian parties in addition to business associations and economists, banks and investment firms to work together to hold a quarterly conference for discussion, follow-up and offering practical and realistic solutions to support the efforts exerted for increasing exports and to raise the competitiveness of Egyptian products in the international markets.

El-Sadat said that Egypt after the Revolution depended on its reserve of foreign currency in addition to the support of our brothers in the Arab Gulf. Such support drastically reduced the negative effects that resulted from the economic situation of disorder and saved Egypt from bankruptcy and international blackmail. However, we cannot continue to rely on our Gulf brothers especially that their financial burdens and troubles have increased as a result of the decrease in oil prices; in addition to the security disorder in the region.
